| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は，経営者の在任期間と目標利益達成を意図した利益調整との関係を検証することにある。分析の結果，在任期間が短い経営者ほど目標利益達成を意図した利益調整を行うことが明らかとなっている。また，内部昇進の経営者よりも企業外部から雇われた経営者の方が，在任期間と目標利益達成を意図した利益調整との関係が強くなることを発見している。 | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Focusing on positive and increasing earnings as earnings target, this research examines the relation between top executive tenure and earnings management to meet earnings target. We find that the probability that top executives manage earnings to report positive or increasing earnings is higher in the early years of their service than in the later years. In addition, we find that the negative relation between top executive tenure and earnings management to meet earnings target is concentrated in the sample of top executive appointed from outside the firm. | |||||||||||||||||
