| 内容記述 | 本稿は，日本における2013年以降の食料品価格の上昇とエンゲル係数の上昇の関係について，Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System（QUAIDS）を用いた家計消費需要の構造推定により分析する．2000年から2018年までの49都市別家計消費のデータを用いた推定結果を用いて，2013年以降の日本において食料価格の上昇が生じていない反実仮想を設定した際の消費行動の変化についてのシミュレーションを行う．シミュレーションの結果，2013年以降の外食を除いた食料の価格の上昇はエンゲル係数を最大1.91％ポイント上昇させる要因となっており，食料価格の上昇がエンゲル係数の上昇に大きな影響を与えたことが示された．また，同時期の食料価格の上昇は実質家計消費の低下と生計費指数の増加を引き起こしており，経済厚生の低下の要因となっていることも示された． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper analyzes the relationship between rising food prices and Engelʼs coefficients in Japan since 2013 by structural estimation of household consumption demand, using Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System（QUAIDS）. By estimating household consumption of 49 cities in Japan from 2000 to 2018, I simulate how consumption behavior changes if there were no rise in food prices in Japan since 2013. Simulation results shows the increase in food prices since 2013 caused a rise of up to 1.91 percentage points for the engelʼs coefficient. Moreover, the rise in food prices caused a decrease in real household consumption and a rise in cost of living expense index. | |||||||||
